The Auckland Medical Research Foundation (AMRF) invites expressions of interest for the AMRF Medical Committee for 2025.
AMRF funds a variety of medical and health sciences research across the Auckland and Northland regions of Aotearoa New Zealand. This includes project grants, career development grants (such as doctoral scholarships, postdoctoral fellowships, and repatriation fellowships), and grants for researchers to expand their skills, attend conferences and foster collaborations at local, national, and international levels.
The AMRF Medical Committee consists of emerging and internationally recognised independent clinicians and scientists who rigorously evaluate research applications.
For 2025 we are calling for expressions of interest particularly from volunteers with strengths in the following areas:
Kaupapa Māori research and Mātauranga Māori
Clinical research, including allied health professionals with a research focus
Population or public health research
Biomedical engineering research
For detailed information about joining, please refer to the AMRF Expression of Interest Application form.
If you wish to apply, please complete both the Expression of Interest Application and the MC Skills Matrix (below), which ask you to evaluate your own skillset, competencies and attributes. Through the Skills Matrix,
we are endeavouring to have a balanced representation of expertise in biomedical, clinical, engineering, and public health fields; along with experience, knowledge and competencies in specific areas to facilitate assessment of high-quality research with significant potential impact.
Please submit your applications by 5pm Wednesday 11 December 2024.
Should you have any further questions please contact hannah.gibbons@medicalresearch.org.nz.
